Vegas Baby!!

Honoring a long standing tradition, I met with my buddy Dave to celebrate our June birthdays in style and that means Vegas! We always start by driving fast cars on Exotics Racing‘s track and then go cool off and wander around the forum shops at Caesars Palace staring at all the cool watches. Exotics Racing: This year we had our pick of 2 cars for 5 laps each. I selected the Ferrari F8 Tributo and the new mid engined Corvette C8. I had a great instructor and managed to trim 3 seconds off my previous time that I had set in 2018 in a Lamborghini Huracan. My new Vegas track personal best is now 55:96!

The C8 was very impressive and only a second slower on track. Considering the near $200k price difference it really does look like the bargain of the century. Hmm maybe the F-Type could use a buddy? LOL

After a fun time at the track, we hit the Forums for some watch appreciation time, if you’re in the market for a stainless steel Rolex, here is what you will find at ALL the shops. This was Tourneau’s display, the official dealer shop had NO mens models available at all.

Not sure why Rolex is starving the market and hurting their authorized dealers with this artificial “shortage”, some speculate that it drives the prices up but I disagree at least from the AD’s perspective as they are required by Rolex to sell at list price. The policy is only helping the grey market and the flippers. Oh well, rant over, thank you for bearing with me. 😤

Dave had surprised me and booked us a double king suite at Caesars, wow, it was simply amazing, we even had our own pool table. This is how the high rollers live! I’m opted to call it the Mike Tyson suite, sadly there was no tiger…

We also took the drive out to view the Hoover dam and Lake Mead, and the water levels are really low.

We finished the birthday celebrations off with a nice steak and lobster dinner and Dave was back on the plane to San Jose. One last night and then I’m off to Zion National Park.
